A Walk in the Darkness
A walk in the dark, it seemed that night,
A walk in the dark, seemed so right,
Put on my shoes, secured my hair,
And stepped right out, In the midnight air.
Everything seemed to come alive,
Especially the large moon in the big, black sky.
Seeming to follow, as I walked along,
Shining it's yellowy face, into the pond.
When I looked up, it seemed to be afraid,
Peeping it's round head, from behind the cloudy shade.
The wind, however, wasn't breathless anymore,
Sweeping wildly, across the forest floor.
Like a sudden emotion, lightning crashed to the ground;
A few seconds later, a thundering sound.
At the sound of this, I decided to head home,
But I found I'd went further than I'd intended to roam.
